What is the purpose of this role?

The Integration Scheme Project manager will report into the Integration Project manager and will be responsible for delivering individual work packages as set by the integration project manager to support the successfully delivery of the project. The Integration Scheme Project manager will support the integration project manager in ensuring there are collaborative cross functional relationships between functions to enable issuesisks to be efficiently managed within the project. A key focus for the Scheme project manager will be to ensure the projects are delivered in accordance with GRIP, supporting the project team.

What will this role involve?

  • Support integration team with production of information and management of key risks/issues for the stagegate.
  • Support regular meeting with PMO to review key touch points to support GRIP Stagegate deliverables
  • Support the team with escalation of any key issues to integration project manager in order for risks to be escalated.
  • Support Integration project manager with key interface meeting with maintenance and ensure AMP process is adhered too by wider alliance partners.
  • Support the consents activities for the projects, by assisting with any key meetings with city and local Councils, English Heritage, etc are well represented.
  • Support the community relations teams with any quires/complaints for their respective projects and ensure letter drops are carried out in advance of any key works. Escalate any key issues to integration lead.
  • Support integration project manager with Arco arches consents requests or land & property requests.
  • Support integration project manager and utilities manager with any key interfaces with statutory bodies.

What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Relevant and successful experience in managing projects in rail environment.
  • Relevant and successful experience in managing stakeholder relationships in a project environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (particularly CDM)
  • Individual who can consistently demonstrates alliance behaviours and positive approach to tasks.

Desirable

  • Experience of managing projects through successfully stagegate.
  • Demonstrate experience of managing the AMP process
  • Demonstrate experience of managing the CSM/ROG process for projects within Network Rail.
  • Experience of being part of cross functional teams.
  • Experience of managing complex projects through DWWP planning process

TRU is a once-in-a-generation rail upgrade programme to deliver faster, longer, more frequent and more reliable rail services across the north of England, from Newcastle, Hull gand York towards Manchester and Liverpool via Leeds. By connecting the major cities of the North with an enhanced, more reliable service, it has the potential to impact the lives of thousands of passengers and support economic growth across the whole of the north of England.

Amey, in partnership with Arup, BAM and Network Rail is upgrading the route between Manchester and Leeds, which includes civils, track, railway systems and electrification. The opportunity to use modern digital signalling and train control also means we can lay the foundation for the Digital Railway.
