Job Introduction

Multi-skilled operator who has the in a variety of different positions in broadcast or video production. They will have an acceptable level of understanding of the media and be able to discuss different aspects of TV production. The ideal candidate will also have a leaning towards postproduction, particularly in video editing.

The creative use of footage from a variety of sources including archive and UGC (User generated content) and footage shot specifically for the purpose of the edit.

The ability to balance audio to the highest level and differentiate correct and incorrect audio signals.

Role Responsibility

Working in a live news environment to tight deadlines the successful candidate will need to be able to operate editing software and equipment quickly under their own initiative, sometimes alongside journalists and on occasion independent of anyone else. They will be able to cut news packages on Quantel, meeting all the technical requirements of broadcast environment understanding what the technical limitations are and how to set and adhere to them

Are you the right candidate?

Should be able to integrate into a closely knit team and demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas, concerns and information in a clear way either verbally or through other communication methods such as email.

Been able to differentiate between different media types and load them onto our server for use within and edit.

Experience with handling lots of different broadcast file types and knowing the best way to deal with them.
