We are recruiting for a Restaurant Service Manager to join our Dining Team.

What’s the role?

The Restaurant Service Manager will plan, organise, direct and lead their team and department to provide both internal and external customers with World Class Service whilst maximising profit and sales across your department.

They will to deliver the Company’s ethos of world class service to both internal & external customers by ensuring all areas of the area is running effectively against the customer service standards and ensuring that the Customer NPS score reflect this, including:

  • Communicates with immediate team daily (including daily huddle information, department targets, sales, be-inspired, store activity including events/HR activity)
  • Conducts return to work meetings and colleague related meeting i.e. investigations/issues improvement notes/disciplinary hearings.
  • Provide regular effective feedback to individuals or teams
  • Responsibility for all department statutory requirements including food safety, hygiene, health and Safety, fire safety, employment, financial and environmental.
  • Delivers and communicates the quarterly objectives. Plans ahead to deliver the department contribution towards the overall business plan.
  • Leads, directs and inspires team, keeping them motivated to deliver outstanding results in line with the quarterly objectives.
  • Identifying key opportunities for improvement in product ranges, including slow moving stock and communicating back to Buying.
  • Assesses the departmental results, and refocuses the team to achieve the goals/objectives.

This role will require a hands- on and visible role in the training and development of front of house colleagues with emphasis on coaching and mentoring individuals at all service levels.

The role of Restaurant Service Manager is vitally important to the successful operation of the business and in particular the consistent drive to raise service standards within our Restaurant. The position requires an effective leader who will regularly communicate with their team with energy, enthusiasm, an unbiased attitude, a high degree of teamwork and co-operation with the emphasis on achievement, accuracy, honesty and integrity.

  • It is essential that you have previous experience in a restaurant environment with table service
  • It is desirable that you will have an understanding of table booking systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a professional manner at all times.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks.

Other role details:

  • The role is permanent.
  • The role offers an average of 42.5 hours working 3 out of 4 weekends per month.
  • Salary is £23,500 per annum.
