Birmingham 2022 is looking for two diligent Medal Ceremonies Coordinators, who will support the Assistant Project Manager and Medal Ceremonies Manager on delivering an ambitious and inspiriting programme of Medal Ceremonies across the Commonwealth Games.
With excellent organisational and relationship-building skills, you will work on the day to day administration and logistical operations of the Medal Ceremonies, working closely with multiple internal teams across the Games. Coordinating the execution of the Medal Ceremonies plans, you will be a driving force in managing and tracking Medal assets and ensuring that Medals are correctly transported to venue.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day administration and coordination of the Games Medal Ceremonies.
- Attend relevant working groups and coordinate the dissemination of information to all required parties.
- Validate all Medal Ceremonies furniture and fixture requirements at venues.
- Coordinate all Medal Ceremony room layouts for all venues.
- Organise any delivery schedules and supplier requirements as needed.
- Work from the Medal HQ during Games time, ensuring Medal assets are packed and transported correctly to assigned venues.
- Support training and onboarding of Medal Ceremony Volunteers, including distribution of training materials and information.
- Coordinate the submission for Medal Ceremony crew accreditation.
Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Proven working experience in a fast-paced office coordination or administration role.
- Proven ability to build robust working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively track and manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- A dynamic, flexible and quick-thinking approach, whilst still possessing strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Previous working experience with Medal Ceremonies or events coordination.
Location: 6 Brindley Place, Birmingham, B1 2JB (Full-time, office-based)
Salary: £25,000 – £27,500 per annum, pro rata
Duration: Fixed Term Contract until August 2022
Start Dates: February and April
