Salary: £35,000 + bonus

Summary

This well established national haulage business is looking for a manager who can oversee the operational planning of the fleet as well as deliver exceptional service levels to their existing and new customers. You will need to be very customer focused, able to build relationships and develop accounts as well as be able to train more junior staff within a fleet planning capacity. Previous knowledge of the construction, rail or civil engineering sector would be ideal as would FORS experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the operational transport planning team
• Dealing with incoming calls and managing jobs
• Building relationships with clients – predominantly large construction firms
• Maintaining service levels and developing new business
• Dealing with sub contractors
• Training junior staff

Key Skills/Experience

• Previous national transport planning experience for general haulage
• Good geographical knowledge
• Understanding of the construction industry
• Customer focused with account management abilities
