Requirements

Good to have

  • BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with Specflow tooling
  • Experience using tools to automate desktop software
  • SQL database interrogation and manipulation skills
  • Experience testing web APIs using tools such as Postman
  • Able to interpret and work with XML/JSON
  • Experience in working with teams using TDD
  • Experience working with Kanban/scrum agile methodologies
  • Experience with participation in agile planning, sprinting and reviews
  • Background working with cloud solutions, virtual machines and associated configuration

  • Possess ability to balance test coverage with time limitations to manage and communicate any perceived risk with business stakeholders in a professional manner
  • You will have a drive for continuous improvement both as part of a team and individually, looking to lead initiative to enhance test practices, drive quality and looking to develop your skills working with automation testing tools and processes
  • You will be passionate about quality and take ownership for the quality of our product in all aspects
  • You will be able to clearly document manual test cases so that other team members can easily understand purpose, actions and expected outcomes
  • You will be adaptable in various testing methodologies, & practices, and tools that complement the software quality process
  • You will be a self-starter who finds solutions rather than problems and is easily able to adapt to new technologies
  • You will be used to working in an agile environment and adaptable to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years experience working within a QA environment
  • Software testing certification e.g. ISTQB or equivalent
  • Proven track record in eliciting test scenarios from user stories / requirements and designing tests to provide comprehensive coverage
  • Experience in extracting test scenarios, devising test cases and automating these using a range of techniques
  • Experience in eliciting and defining both positive and negative scenarios and the steps to execute manually
  • Experience in executing and reporting on test results
  • Exposure to/interest in learning automation testing
  • Knowledge of BDD scenario design frameworks
  • Experience working with an Agile development and testing environment
  • Passion and drive for test automation and associated toolsets
  • Located within a commutable distance to Birchwood, Warrington
