A major global employer with an impressive brand and ongoing growth are looking for a Financial Accountant with experience in both Tax and VAT to support the Company Accountant and be part of a growing team at their UK Head Office.

Key Area Of Responsibilities Will Include

• External reporting processes relating to the business unit along with various internal reporting requirements.
• Statutory reporting and will be the main contact for VAT, IPT and tax, including liaising with HMRC and external consultants.
• Internal projection reporting, ONS surveys, insurance reporting and internal project work. Reporting into the Financial Company Accountant.
• Review the accounts and prepare them in the format required for statutory reporting.
• Liaise with the UK Management Accountant regarding the information reported and available.
• Review disclosures and relevant accounting standard changes with guidance from our external auditors
• Liaise with our external auditors to review draft accounts to get a finalised draft prepared
• Coordinate with various departments when tax related queries arise in projects, new products, invoice queries etc. Provide guidance and advice.
• The main contact for external sources relating to all tax aspects.
• Work with Head Office for the annual GTC reporting requirements.

You will be able to work independently and proactively with limited supervision and ensure a high degree of accuracy in a timely manner. You will have relevant business knowledge and experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge and experience around tax and VAT is essential.
