Thrive Renewables plc – Sustainability Analyst

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and committed graduate to help us measure, monitor and enhance our environmental and social impact. This person will be responsible for reporting progress on our Impact and ESG targets including clean energy generation, emissions reductions and other policies such as supply chain analysis. They will also manage our B Corporation certification.

Personal Characteristics And Skills

  • Passionate about the role of business in making a difference on climate change
  • Logical mindset, comfortable with systems / modelling
  • Highly numerate and IT literate
  • Able to build effective relationships within and outside of the organisation
  • Ability to manage complex projects
  • Educated to graduate or equivalent level
  • Interest in sustainability

Experience

At least two years’ experience in professional analytical role, ideally measuring and reporting on impact/sustainability issues

Responsibilities Include

  • Ownership, maintenance and development of the main company databook including full record of investments, renewable generation and emissions reductions
  • Net zero data collection, recording, monitoring and planning to ensure we reach our 2030 target
  • Supporting the operations team to record, analyse, streamline and report performance of the project portfolio
  • Reviewing new opportunities against impact and investment criteria
  • Review and report on sustainability of new investments including supply chain, technologies, reputational impact, biodiversity and stakeholder benefits etc
  • Assisting with procurement from a sustainability perspective
  • Tenders assistance
  • B-Corp certification monitoring and management
  • Representing the company at B Corp and other meetings relating to progressing sustainability of the organisation
  • Reviewing sustainability of new technologies
  • Oversight of community schemes and initiatives
  • Researching and advising team on sustainability best practice
  • Other ad hoc support as required

Benefits

  • Salary £25,000 to £32,000 p.a. depending on experience
