They are now seeking a Caseworker to join their dedicated team in Leeds, providing support to individuals with a criminal justice background, facing barriers into Education and/or Employment. As Caseworker you will work closely with a caseload of clients to produce individual action plans that support individuals to overcome barriers to social inclusion and employment, including housing, training, employment and debt. You will also coordinate a range of planned community assessments and interventions that keep clients engaged and motivated, and will work alongside colleagues to deliver effective small group workshops and short courses. You will identify and establish routes in to further learning, work placements and employment opportunities, and will support clients in accessing them. To apply for this role, you will have a proven track record of successfully working with unemployed people and assessing their needs, and supporting them to make progress towards, or into, employment. You will have an NVQ 3 in information Advice and Guidance equivalent, or equivalent working experience. Excellent awareness of the needs and concerns of disadvantaged people (including those experiencing homelessness, family breakdown; substance misuse, or affected by gangs) is highly desirable, as is previous experience of managing a caseload of clients and achieving set targets. Please note this is initially a fixed term contract until December 2023. The role will be based 2 days from the client's Leeds-based office, with 3 days working in the community across West Yorkshire (travel will be expensed)-->
