Position Purpose
To achieve the sales, distribution and merchandising objectives for specified geographic areas modern and traditional trade through a team of Sales Team Leads. Liaising and working closely with distributors.
Key Duties
A) Market Visits
- Visit & develop given set of selected Top outlets regularly
B) Meeting Volume Targets
- In charge of the area’s P&L, in this sense the Zone Sales Manager must have control on his/her monthly achievement.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and the Sales Team and must use this link to assure that the RSM is supplied with the most updated and relevant information’s from the market and use this data as base in the decision make process.
- Assuring that the company’s strategies are properly cascaded down to the Sales Team through the Sales Executives (Team Leader) and properly implemented.
- Clearly understand the company’s strategy, cascade it down to the team and assure that the whole team is executing it.
- Assuring that the Sales Team have the knowledge, motivation, equipment and other resources in order to make the implementation possible, if not it is the manager responsibility to negotiate with the General Sales Manager the required resources
C) Action To Optimize SOVI and Execution Standards
- Ensure team appreciate and cultivate execution culture in daily engagement with outlets
- Ensure outlet level PICOS is activated to optimize SOVI for KO Products
- Ensure team is having pre-defines routines in place like 5 steps in outlets, training on weekly basis and performance review on daily, weekly and monthly basis
D) People Management
- Analyze his sales team and area performance, identify the opportunities and develop a plan to capture them.
- Attend the morning meeting.
- Identify the lowest and highest results and its reasons.
- Execute the morning meeting following his previous planning – SCRIPT.
- Set monthly target with right planning to achieve them.
- Check his agenda and plan the activities programmed for the day.
- Assure that all activities planned for the day were properly executed.
- The Monthly Incentive Target and the Trend
- Manage team attrition to reduce regrettable losses.
E) Reporting
- Submit standard reports as per specified frequency
- Collect market information regularly for continuous improvement
F) Stakeholder Management
- Build strong business relationships with customers by adding value to the customer’s business
- Develop a good understanding of the customer business and financials
- Ensures all internal and external correspondence is in accordance with the Company requirements.
- Maintains safe and healthy working environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualification Criteria
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in any fields, preferably in Business-related studies
- Minimum 4 years working experience as Area Sales Manager, District Sales Manager or its equivalent
- Good communication and analytical thinking, and negotiation skills
- Solid Leadership Ability to lead people (manage, supervise and coach a team of Sales Team Leaders, Account Developers and Sales Merchandisers)
- Self-discipline and ability to build the discipline culture across the team
- Result-driven, self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to work well with people and handling customers
- Knowledgeable in Merchandising
- Added advantage for those with experience in FMCG companies at the similar job level
- Proven track records in leading and managing distributors would be preferred
- Team Player and good people management skill
- Proficient in English and Bahasa
- Possess own transport and no issue travelling
