Energy & Utilities are going through a transformation journey with the focus on Field services, enhanced customer experience (through digital and data enablement), Connected technologies/IoT and green energy (electric vehicles, heat pumps etc.). Cognizant has engagements with multiple energy & utilities clients in Ireland where we are helping them being customer obsessed and lead the transformation initiatives to build new offerings, solutions and innovative business models aligned to the market trends and regulatory commitments.

We are looking for experienced business analysts/consultants/product owners with Field services experience who are passionate about making a difference for our clients in the energy and utilities domain. This is an opportunity for being at the forefront of the transformation journey working with the best minds in the energy and utilities domain at Cognizant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders and conducting workshops for requirement elicitation.
  • Business Consulting – Advisory Services, Process Consulting & Business Analysis.
  • Conduct and lead requirement gathering workshops, write Functional Specifications, BRDs, NFRs, RTMs, user stories, test cases, conduct UAT and training, support go-live thru the lifecycle of global programs/projects
  • Process Mapping, Benchmarking and Reengineering
  • Business Process Standardization and Harmonization
  • Business Case preparation and Business Impact Assessment
  • Application assessment, Tool Evaluation and Vendor Selection
  • Thought leadership and creation of IP that can be leveraged to drive non-linear growth and drive business outcomes. Drive the thought leadership agenda for the BU via white papers, webinars, social media interactions, and other such public forums
  • Solutionising – Participate in client engagements (pursuits, projects, discussions) and take ownership from a domain / business point of view
  • Involve in RFP/RFI response preparation and submission (Business solution conceptualization), Proactive Proposal building for existing and new accounts, contribute towards winning new logos and projects

Essential Skills Required:

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels within client organisation
  • Ability to foresee risk, identify dependencies and managing them in advance
  • Strong experience in Field services domain in B2C and/or B2B space covering Planning, Dispatch, Capacity management, Asset and work management and scheduling optimization.

Desirable Skills:

  • Fair knowledge of field service scheduling and optimization software packages like Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field services, Service Power, Salesforce CRM, Click Software or Field service Lightning
  • Preferably have experience in Utilities core business processes/systems – e.g. customer facing processes (SAP CRM, Salesforce etc.) and billing systems (SAP ISU, CC&B etc.)
  • Good understanding of advancements in Field services such as IoT driven predictive maintenance, Smart connected systems, Automation, Predictive scheduling and capacity management.
