The Role:

We are seeking highly motivated junior safety engineers who are looking to build on their existing experience and become part of our team providing expert safety support to our clients in the UK nuclear and other high hazard industries.


Typical activities of the role will include:

  • Provision of safety and assurance support to projects in the civil and defence nuclear and other high hazard industries.
  • Working with colleagues to deliver client needs to time and budget.
  • Production of high-quality technical deliverables to the agreed milestones and cost.
  • Review, verification and approval of work produced by team members.
  • Ability to clarify and agree project requirements at all levels.
  • Assist with the preparation of estimates for projects or proposals.
  • Design and assessment of new plant and modifications to existing plant.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.

Fluent in English Language.

Ideally, you will have experience in the provision of assurance services within the nuclear or other high-hazard industries. Also, familiarity with relevant legislation and standards associated with working with nuclear and potentially hazardous materials including Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017, COMAH, COSHH, DSEAR, etc. would be desirable

We are seeking an adaptable self-starter with good interpersonal skills with the ability to learn rapidly. A good team player with the confidence and ability to question traditional received wisdoms, think laterally and present alternatives.
