The AUM is responsible for the Falkland Islands and Ascension Islands Utilities Management (Energy, Water and Waste) where they not only conduct utilities surveys and identify improvements (cultural, behavioral, and infrastructural) but establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders gaining buy-in and trust.

The AUM is a key point of contact (POC) on sites for all utilities related enquiries and also provides support and coordination for visits from engineers and contractors.

The AUM monitors consumption, reports on and investigates trends and anomalies and identifies areas where reductions can be targeted.

The AUM assists and advises the Area Manager, HOE and SAUM on decision-making in relation to safe and efficient control of utilities. Specific input is provided for identifying Spend to Save opportunities. The AUM works with Senior Area Utilities Manager (SAUM) and Programme Management Office (PMO) to complete and priorities TLB programmes, optimising investment and monitoring project delivery.

This is a challenging post and brings an opportunity to deliver high profile works on a busy and complex overseas estate which is unique within the MOD. Representing DIO at the 1* customer level, supporting command capability though the delivery of contracted outputs and funded works programmes.
