Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District No. 42 is highly regarded for the quality of its education and its commitment to students in the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. The school district is seeking a new Director of Facilities to provide leadership in facilities management and in the delivery of services necessary to meet school district strategic and operational requirements.

The Director is responsible for the careful stewardship of school district facilities through the provision of facilities planning and maintenance programs that guarantee safe, proper, efficient, and authorized use of school district facilities.

Reporting to the Secretary-Treasurer, the Director of Facilities is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of the comprehensive school district facilities plan and the annual facilities maintenance/enhancement plan. The incumbent acts as a resource person on facilities planning, facilities management, and facilities maintenance related matters to the board, senior team, administrators, managers, and other school district staff.

An experienced and service-oriented leader, the ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in a senior general management role related to infrastructure and facilities management. Factors key to the new Director’s success will be considerable knowledge of project planning, facilities management, and construction oversight, together with superior communication skills and the ability to foster a motivating and respectful team environment.
