Job Summary:

We are now looking for a service delivery Line Manager for the Deployment Support team, are you interested?

As the leader of a team of people, the Line Manager has a key part to play in role modeling and encouraging his/her team to live the Ericsson Values of Professionalism, Perseverance, Respect, and Integrity. The Line Manager furthermore plays an important role in the operation of the business, supervising and managing teams on a daily basis and acting as a liaison between employees and higher management.

The Deployment Support manager is responsible for ensuring all support functions are provided towards all Network Rollout Projects within the UK. The team has a diversity of roles ranging from Logistics for NRO, Event on the day activities to support NRO, Implementation Managers to delivery of core projects and quality supervision for the NRO deliveries delivered by our Approved Service Partners.

Line management responsibilities:

Individual Performance Management:

  • Set individual goals and targets for the team and team members
  • Follow-up on performance of individuals and provide feedback
  • Agree and follow up on corrective / improvement action plans
  • Provide coaching support to team members
  • Discuss the importance of integrity and ensure individual performance is achieved in an ethical and compliant manner

Drive Competence and Career Management:

  • Develop plans for individual / team development connected to business needs
  • Perform assessments of team / participate in assessments as assessor
  • Support team members with competence and career development
  • Drive everyday learning
  • Develop leadership skills in others, and instill our culture of integrity
  • Plan job rotations

Manage Pay, Rewards & Recognition:

  • Set salaries and manage salary talks
  • Recognize and award individuals for achievements and for behaviors consistent with our values
  • Manage time reporting and approvals (expenses, etc.), with full adherence to related company policies

Ensure the wellbeing of the team:

  • Support optimal work-life balance
  • Manage stress and crisis situations
  • Ensure OHS regulations and standards are implemented
  • Manage rehabilitation

Manage the delivery of Deployment support activities

  • Translate and communicate Ericsson strategic plans into local plans for the Dept, setting priorities and targets
  • Manage targets and objectives for the Dept and follow up on performance
  • Connect strategies with day-to-day operations, communicating how Dept tasks contribute to the overarching strategies and visions

Create a productive work environment and ensure execution of work:

  • Share knowledge and use collaboration tools
  • Delegate responsibilities within the team and ensure execution of work
  • Drive relevant issues for the team
  • Recognize and award teams for achievements and for behaviors aligned to our values
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relations managing stakeholder needs and escalations
  • Drive a commitment to conducting business ethically

Resource and Workforce planning and recruitment:

  • Manage and balance the resources and competence needs of the Dept
  • Recruit talent ensuring diversity, and manage onboarding of new employees
  • Conduct succession planning
  • Manage external resources

Drive performance management of the Dept:

  • Ensure adherence to global processes methods and tools
  • Identify and mitigate risks and secure execution and effectiveness of the internal controls applicable to their Dept and field of responsibility
  • Ensure performance is achieved in an ethical and compliant manner
  • Identify and implement best practices, and improvement programs to boost Dept performance
  • Identify and address barriers to performance
  • Drive change management according to goals and drive efficiency
  • Continuous monitoring of achievement toward targets
  • Dept Performance shall be reported in regular Performance Reviews in Leadership Team and in Monthly Business Reports, or with other means as decided
  • Managers are accountable for other elements of Dept performance management, such as Voice for collecting feedback from employees and developing associated plans

Cost target setting and follow-up:

  • Follow-up on cost targets, implementing corrective actions as required
  • Manage employee cost, external spend, and other costs
  • Control spend approvals
