THE TEAM

The Innovation, Research & Development function brings together product development and ideation. We are responsible for generating, triaging, and validating new ideas, and then for developing them into data and analytics products for delivery to our clients across the global healthcare industry, their advisors and suppliers. We are team of ~25 split equally between London and Delhi.

SCOPE OF ROLE

In this role as Data Visualisation Lead you will be working as part of the wider Innovation, Research & Development team, managing a team of developers as you deliver extremely high quality and performant visualisations to our clients. A successful Data Visualisation Lead will be highly competent in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, actively engage in mentoring fellow developers, have a desire to manage technical teams and have an interest in researching and implementing new visualisation solutions for use by external clients. Primarily, the Data Visualisation Lead is responsible for ensuring the data visualisation solutions implemented at Evaluate continue to meet the needs of our clients. Project work-streams will cover subject areas such as predictive models leveraging machine learning, consensus forecasts, pricing and market access, clinical trial intelligence data and statistics, or epidemiological and patient level data analysis.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

  • Take ownership of the Data Visualisation team
  • Understand and take ownership of Evaluate’s Tableau Server infrastructure
  • Engender strong working relationships with key stakeholders in IT, Product Management and Data Science
  • Act as a mentor for developers in your team, championing their development
  • Ensure the technology employed at Evaluate continues to meet the needs of our clients
  • Advise the Innovation, Research and Development department on solutions to technical challenges

WHAT IT TAKES

Essential requirements

  • Significant experience developing Tableau dashboards
  • Tableau Server admin experience, including install, upgrade, licensing etc
  • Experience using SQL for data preparation and visualisation
  • Experience with relational databases and integrations with visualisation software
  • Experience designing and delivering, novel data models
  • Experience of team leadership, or a desire and ability to lead technical teams
  • An ability to prepare, present and defend project and technology proposals
  • A talent for building collaboration between technical and commercial teams

Nice to have

  • Experience working on query and visualisation optimisations
  • Experience building data visualisation solutions for clients and customers
  • Experience of multiple data visualisation tools and solutions; JS, PowerBI, Python etc.
  • Experience of working with data science teams to create analytical solutions
  • Windows administrator experience
  • Working knowledge of networking and environments, as pertaining to Tableau server
  • Previous use of Tableau add-ons such as TabPy and Resource Management Tool
  • An interest in the healthcare industry
