The Role: We are looking for a Product Operations Lead for a newly created unit in our Product Management Department. Together with the Senior Product Leadership, you will ensure that Product Management operates efficiently by choosing and owning the right tools and guidelines. The synergic integration of Product within the Frontiers business processes and OKR framework is also under your area of responsibility. Key Responsibilities:

  • You work with the Senior Product Leadership to establish how Product Management works and making it successful, from structural proposals to best practices and tools
  • You hire, lead and coach a team of Project Managers, Project Coordinators, OKR specialists and Documentation Leads
  • You work closely with the Product Director and Associate Director, understanding the internal needs of the department and allocating resources to shape how the department works
  • You are responsible for the ensuring that the Product Management onboarding process is of the highest quality
  • You set the guidelines and best practices for our Product Development teams, including release notes, rollout communications for internal and external users, workflow documentation and reporting templates
  • You dispatch to your team and coordinate complex, interdependent, cross-vertical, and cross-horizontal initiatives with the product and data perspectives
  • You understand the needs of the Product team, helping choosing the best tools for roadmapping, wireframing and all activities of the department
  • You are responsible for setting best practices for the onboarding and success our Products, with a strong focus on documentation
  • You are responsible for assisting the Product Directors in shaping the structure of your unit, hiring team members and setting up the best way to interact with our key counterparts (Engineering, Publishing unit)
  • You liaise with the Engineering Director and similarly drive all initiatives aimed at ensuring appropriate technical documentation with standards and tools that you and your team will provide
  • You ensure clear and consistent communication between product and other teams, helping to identify areas for improvement
  • You work with your team to establish documentation guidelines, including Release Notes as well as functional documentation
  • Your team will own all tools - as well as guidelines for their usage - currently used by Product (examples: confluence, monday.com, miro)
  • You will own the Product/Technology blog, which will illustrate the most important releases to our external and internal users
  • Train and mentor your team members, providing them with your support and leadership
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience leading a team of technical professionals
  • Experience hiring and coaching team members
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Previous experience as a Product Manager
  • Provable experience with shaping how a technical department works (Product, Engineering, or similar)
  • Experience in a startup and/or upscale environment
  • Experience with OKRs is highly desirable
