About The Role

As well as carrying out the professional duties of a music teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a safe and happy environment for young people to flourish.
  • Working under the direction of the Headteacher or other Senior Manager and supporting your colleagues in their duties.
  • Form tutoring on Friday mornings to assist with the delivery of the school PSHE programme.
  • Assist in our school trips when needed to locations like The Southbank and St James’ Church in London.
  • Provide guidance and support for students involved in our numerous extracurricular music groups.

The client will welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as those new to the profession and currently in training.

About You

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, talented team player that can work with colleagues and students well.

The Ideal Teacher Of Music Must

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Be able to teach Music across the Key Stages and varied ability groups.
  • Be able to converse with staff, students, parents, and external figures in a confident and positive manner.
  • Possess an infectious enthusiasm for ensuring positive outcomes for our students and the Music department.


  • Automatic enrolment onto Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
  • Petrol allowance if using car for work purposes.
  • Cycle allowance of 20p per mile travelled.
  • Exposure to a huge range of musical activity, from the classroom to our purpose-built music suite and annual music events.
