As our client enters one of the most exciting times in their history we are looking for a Digital Product Analyst contractor that will sit within their commercial team. Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience working with data as a data scientist or analyst.

This is a 6 month contract initially and pays circa £500 per day as a contractor (under umbrella)

Ideally you will be able to get to our clients Hammersmith office at least a couple of days per week or to other local offices (Manchester, Birmingham or Reading)

The product analytics team is very hands-on and strategic, with lots of scope to make an impact. Your analysis based on their website visits for their products (telecoms, internet and media) and recommendations will directly support product decisions, commercial decisions, and business strategy.

This role involves working with multiple stakeholders across product teams, so the ideal candidate will have exceptional organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience of working in an online technical environment (yet commercial) is highly desirable. We are specifically looking for curious, big-picture thinkers who can also deep dive into the details, as well as proactive, eager, self-motivated qualities. You will be comfortable working across multiple data sets, and be keen to explore how you can best support product owner colleagues to understand the products and their users behaviours.

You may be working across any of product end user pillars (Sales, Cross Sell/Up Sell, Care) with a specific focus on existing web journeys to help solve one of our business problems. You will be working to track, analyse and improve these journeys in order to improve the customer experience. You will work in a fast paced eCommerce/Trading environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Discovery: You will proactively use BigQuery and deep understanding of an area to detect product opportunities, problems and experiment ideas
  • Recommendations: Not only will you be required to explore the data; we expect you to provide insights and recommendations to the Product organisation
  • Reporting and visualisation: Your presentation of data will help product teams make the right data-driven decisions, allowing them to self serve and interpret data quickly, easily and accurately
  • Analysis of web traffic performance across Digital Channels (PPC, SEO, Affiliate, Social etc.)
  • Building dashboards and reporting on cross-device user behaviour to identify opportunities through out the Sales funnel
  • Supporting Digital Product teams: You will work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to understand problem areas and respond to ad hoc requests
  • Prioritisation: You could be working with multiple Digital Product squads simultaneously and will be expected to be able to prioritise workload based on business requirements
  • Experimentation: Working closely with our Digital Data Systems team, you plan experiments and tests which you’ll seek to automate and scale.
  • Data standardisation: Collaborating with a number of different teams, you will work towards achieving our data governance standards

In order to be considered for this role, you’ll need the following:

  • Relevant work experience in a web analytical role, ideally within a tech company
  • Advanced SQL skills essential
  • Knowledge of GA360 or GA4 is ideal
  • Data visualization experience, ideally using Looker/DataStudio or similar
  • Logical analytical problem solver with great attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter who is curious about how to get the most from our data
  • Ability to confidently engage their peers and stakeholders
  • Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Used Google Cloud, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics etc.

Ideally, we’d also like:

  • Experience analyzing A/B tests
  • Google BigQuery experience
  • Reasonable statistical literacy
  • Some experience in using R or Python for data analysis
  • Experience using GitHub and Jira in a collaborative environment
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Optimise
  • Financial analytics experince
