Your New Company

Hays Social Care are currently recruiting Support Workers on behalf of a health care provider operation in Orford and Winwick. This organisation work with vulnerable adults with specific disabilities and learning difficulties and at present can only accommodate part-time work, but aim to offer full-time in the near future.

Your new role

Being a Support Worker isn’t just about supporting someone in day-to-day life, it’s about having fun, building relationships, promoting independence and supporting them to build up their self-esteem and confidence in order to enable them to access the outside community safely.

Your Daily Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Helping to maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all service users
  • Personal care i.e assisting with laundry, meal preparation and feeding
  • Supporting the service users out in the community with any activities they may wish to take part in
  • Administering medication
  • Toileting and washing

You will take on the role of a key worker which means that you will be expected to form accurate records, case notes and work using a person-centred approach which is tailored to each individual.

As well as working Monday – Friday you will be required to work the occasional weekend.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

In order to be successful with your application you do not need previous experience within the care sector as full training will be provided. We are looking for kind and caring individuals that are not only passionate about care but want to grow a successful career in the sector. A full driving license is advantageous to your application but not essential.
