An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated registered Staff Nurse to work within our modern forward thinking Cardiology Unit at Glangwili General Hospital.

The unit consists of 6 Acute Coronary Care beds and 7 Cardiac Stepdown beds. We also have the facility to monitor 14 Telemetry beds on adjoining wards.

We care for patients admitted with a variety of conditions including myocardial infarction, heart failure, endocarditis, cardiac arrhythmias, cardioversions, pulmonary embolisms and strokes requiring thrombolysis.

Glangwili’s Cardiac Care Unit is also the repatriation centre for Hywel Dda for ST elevation patients post primary percutaneous cardiac intervention. Working closely with our four Cardiac Consultants we offer a permanent pacemaker, transesophageal echocardiography and dobutamine stress echo service for the whole of Hywel Dda University Health Board.

As part of our friendly, supportive, professional team you will work closely with other specialities within the Hospital caring for acutely ill patients who need cardiac monitoring on the unit.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
