We have an exciting development in West Wales. We are expanding our team of Psychologists and Behaviour Practitioners and are looking for two psychologists to work in our Learning Disabilities Service at bands 8a.
If you have worked with people with learning disabilities and would like to work in Carmarthenshire then we might have the post for you.
We have a team of people with learning disabilities who co-chair our Regional Partnership Group and help to lead our services. They have developed a Charter which highlights their rights and which Organisations and staff groups can sign up to. Main duties of the job
To provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the locality team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex psychological data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care.
To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s mental health and developmental needs, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client’s problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings.

48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centers;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
