Iconic Resourcing Legal team are proud to partner with a global leader in their field to appoint their new Group Senior Legal Counsel.

This is a newly created role, giving the successful candidate not only the opportunity to advise on all legal matter but also full autonomy to create procedures and policy as they see fit and build their own legal team where required.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and ambitious counsel to create the department from inception and have wide scope to develop both the team and their role. There will be outside counsel assistance from the company appointed law firm until such time you deem no longer necessary.

The required candidate will ideally have a minimum of 7 – 10 years PQE within a Legal Counsel role preferably from the medical, pharmaceutical or life science field and should be able to demonstrate competence in the following;

• Provide legal advice on all company matters to the business Executive Team, including technical input, supplier responsibility and confidentiality agreements however with the exception of Intellectual Property (IP)
• Delegation of legal matters to internal team or outside counsel as appropriate whilst acting within budgetary parameters and ensuring SLA are adhered to
• Implement and take ownership of all contract process and data repository for legal documentation
• Management of corporate and commercial contracts including managing complex international transactions
• Responsible for all negotiations of legal terms and conditions as well as SLA with third party suppliers
• Promote dispute avoidance and manage any disputes and litigation
• Advise on Corporate Governance matters and oversee Company Secretarial duties

The successful candidate should be commercial aware and have strong understanding of highly regulated industries and good knowledge of the relevant regulations of such industry.
