Your day to day

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dedicated Manager – Procurement Excellence, to join our Global Procurement team. You be responsible for delivering the execution of Procurement’s data, reporting and analytics strategy that utilises enriched sources of internal and external data, utilising latest analytics and visual presentation technologies. Throughout this role you will owns the procurement data management processes, reporting, intelligence and analytics suite. Overall responsibility of the reporting, completeness and quality procurement data will be yours and you will be comfortable picking this up from day one. You will report into the Head of Digital Procurement and have a number of remote, direct reports.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Support development of Procurement master data strategy to increase sources of data and number of data attributes captured, increasing availability, quality and utilisation of internal and external data
  • Support development of Procurement reporting, intelligence & analytics strategy to increase delivery of a self-serve suite of reports that has high utilisation, driving increased opportunity identification, reporting, governance and compliance capabilities for PaCE
  • Manage relationship with Operations Team (India), including bi-directional transition of work items & reporting.
  • Manages implementation and ongoing management of data and analytics architecture and related solutions, working in collaboration with Director Regional Digital Procurement and Manager Corporate Digital Procurement
  • Drive automation through the utilisation of programming languages such as Python, M, VBA, C++
  • Support internal review and implementation of KPIs
  • Support implementation of workflow management system within Operations & provide 2nd line support post implementation.
  • Support Strategic Engagement team with development of new IHG website as PaCE Digital SME
  • Owns PaCE Digital SharePoint strategy
  • Manage defined data collection, aggregation, cleansing and quality processes for internal and external sources
  • Own delivery of Procurement’s reporting and analytics, both regular and ad hoc, ensuring quality, on-time output that meets stakeholder needs
  • Single Point of Contact for all data related aspects of 3rd Party Spend Analytics, both internally & externally.

What we need from you

Critical Expertise & Experience:

  • 10 years+ managing data, reporting & analytics
  • 4 years+ managing system processes, ideally for Procurement
  • Real-world implementation of data reporting, analytics, ideally for Procurement
  • Experience of working with multiple internal & external complex data sources at large scale and cleansing data via automated processes.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting/analytics applications e.g Tableau
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Power Platform, particularly PowerAutomate & PowerQuery
  • Demonstrated ability of leading a team (direct and indirect reporting lines)
  • Experience implementing a Data Governance Framework and/or Master Data Management

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of data to business processes and practices
  • Strong knowledge of business orientated visual presentation of data
  • Strong knowledge of third party data integration
  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement skills
  • Demonstrated ability of working in a cross-functional, virtual team
  • Preferable knowledge:
  • coding languages; SQL, VBA, M, Python
  • Robotic Process Automation & machine learning
  • Agile & waterfall project management methodologies
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Big Data

Whilst this role will initially be based in our Denham head office location, by Summer of 2022 we will be relocating to our new Global Headquarters in central Windsor so you will need to be able to travel to Windsor as required in the longer term.
