About the Opportunity:

We are looking for an Intermediate Manual Tester for a well known company based in Mauritius. We are 60 employees thriving to innovate, develop and maintain the Company’s software solutions. More specifically, we work closely with various Marketing & Services subsidiaries to develop Mobility oriented solutions, a fast growing & transforming sector.

These IT solutions are adapted to the different expectations of the European market (France, Germany, etc.) and also outside Europe (50 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America). We are looking to onboard new team members to help us to tackle exciting challenges & projects for better mobility.

We are looking for testers to join our test team. You will either be assigned to one of our agile feature team or to the QA team in charge of integration testing.

Feature team: is generally composed of a product owner, developers and a tester and assisted by a scrum master. This composition, the roles and the seniority of the team members can vary according to the project. Each team is fully responsible for the functionalities on which it works.

QA team in charge of integration testing: is the team in charge of end-to-end testing of the application. It ensures that all the developments delivered by the feature teams work in a consistent manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of User Stories by ensuring that the acceptance criteria are complete
  • Perform an impact analysis based on the User Stories provided by the Product Owner.
  • Update existing test cases, create new test cases
  • Manual execution and archiving of test cases
  • Identify the eligibility of a scenario for inclusion in non-regression tests. Track automation requests for eligible scenarios
  • Run automated tests, analyze reports
  • Create bugs with clear and precise information, with data & screenshots if necessary
  • Participate in the resolution of bugs: assist in the assignment of bugs & assign priorities and analyse causes
  • Activity reports

Skills & Experience:

  • BSC in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
  • Resource will justify significant experience (3+ years) in testing, ISTQB certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with the Agile framework and methodology
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Team player
  • Fluent French
