About The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large, +£1billion project with over 600 JV personnel employed across multiple locations mainly in Warrington, Sellafield and Stockton. The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).

This role will be based at Washington House in Warrington. You will provide assistance to the Area 000 & 400 Area Project Manager in the management & delivery of all area work packages/systems and support to the BEPDT Management Team for the successful delivery of the BEP project for the Client. Responsibilities include

  • To assist the team managing the delivery of multi-discipline work packages through all phases of the project, i.e. engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
  • Primary lead and support for the Area 000/400 teams in ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensuring that key project milestones are met in accordance with all delivery requirements, timescales, budget and quality
  • Ensuring accuracy of reporting and data collection
  • To assume ‘cradle to grave’ accountability for any allocated area work packages
  • To act as a key contact for and to manage interfaces with BEPDT departments, BEPDT management team and SL

The candidate must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to converse effectively across all disciplines within your own Engineering Areas and interface with all Areas of the project, whilst working professionally within a client facing environment.

  • Experience of managing packages of work on EPCC projects in a highly regulated industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully working on NEC3 projects
  • Experienced in Earned Value Management
  • Experience in collating information for and producing/populating detailed Project Reports.
  • Experience and demonstrable abilities in working as part of a collaborative team, in a multi-discipline environment
  • Experience in CS&A, Mechanical and CE&I installation activities.
  • Experience within the nuclear sector
  • Preferable to hold a Degree/Diploma in Project Management/ Engineering discipline with minimum 10 years experience in Project Controls/Delivery
