IT Support Analyst – Manchester City Centre

My client in the North West is currently looking to hire a 1st line/ 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their growing team. As a 1st line/ 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be joining our Global IT team which manages all technology in the business, including infrastructure, software, and hardware. The team plays a key role in driving technological improvements across the business and ensuring that the business remains at the forefront of using technology to enhance the businesses services and products.

As IT Helpdesk support, you will be the first point of contact for all users via telephone, email and face to face in conjunction with a service desk management system within an agreed SLA. You will also be responsible for assisting with the development of IT systems and fulfilling IT projects. The team plays a key role in driving technological improvements across the business and ensuring that the business remains at the forefront of using technology to enhance the businesses services and products.

Accountabilities

• Delivery excellent customer and technology services via the Service Desk
• Use service monitoring tools to aid the problem solving and service delivery
• Use automation where possible to support the automatic resolution or mitigation of issues
• Support, develop and co-ordinate the effective functioning of business applications
• Contribute to the planning of application scalability, configuration changes, and releases
• Providing virtual support for staff working remotely.
