Graduate Information Security Analyst

The Information Security analyst will ensure that business units design and maintain products and services that comply with organizational information security policies and programs and match or exceed industry standards. They will help execute the overall information security strategy into tactical and operational goals for their respective areas.

In this position you will be responsible for performing risk assessments, recommending controls and assisting with compliance assessments and threat modeling where applicable. On consistently engaging with the business/technology teams gain a comprehensive understanding of the key assets, risks and processes and enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to identify threats and recommend mitigations
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Foundational knowledge of security environments
  • Understanding of product security concepts
  • Foundational understanding of industry cybersecurity frameworks/standards.
  • Foundational knowledge of IT network concepts and processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work and actively communicate with people and cross functional teams

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assess and recommend security controls to be implemented in products/solutions
  • Serve as the point of contact for security topics and help guide the technology teams and inculcate a security first mindset
  • Engage with the security champions and drive organizational security initiatives
  • Gather security metrics and prepare reports for applicable stakeholders
  • Assist teams with getting security scans incorporated into the SDLC process
  • Remain current on industry standards for security in a technology environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Engineering/Computer Science/Forensics or equivalent experience required
  • IT security experience preferred however not essential
