Job Description
Drive component strategy for Assortment.
As Material Manager titled as Component Strategy Lead in H&M for Woven, you will be taking the lead in the strategic negotiations for woven materials for our garment production in the respective production market in your scope. You will analyze our woven fabric categories across the H&M brand to enable best deals. It will be essential that you are able to evaluate our current woven component suppliers, find new opportunities, improvements, and investment needs, for our strategic business growth. You need to proactively manage various internal stakeholders globally, balancing different, sometimes competing—or even conflicting— priorities and somehow finding your way through it all to reach a mutually beneficial outcome. You will be the woven fabric expert to go to when further guidance or support is needed from your relevant stakeholders. In all your work you are responsible for ensuring we are working in alignment with our group sustainability policies and directions.
Qualifications
The person we are looking for should have excellent knowledge on material, yarn, fabric manufacturing process & printing for Woven products. Previous experience of working with sustainability is preferrable. You have entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute to innovation. You are a strategic thinker who can see the big picture and can take actions accordingly. You must have strong communication and collaboration skills which will inspire and influence stakeholders. A team player, who can drive towards the common goal. You need to have strong analytical skills for anticipating potential challenges on a global level, suggesting optimizations, and resolving issues. Most importantly though, we are looking for someone who is passionate about contributing to the team
Apart from these you must have:
- Academic background in Textile Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in similar role, preferably in textile industry
- Experience in coordinating a cross-functional team
- Agile, entrepreneurial mindset and adaptable to fast changes
- A flexible, positive, and inspirational team player
