Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: This role will lead the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Branch accounting: Reconciliation of actual sales; Preparing Balance Sheet accounts with reconciliations; Review and approve 3 way matched supplier invoices; Preparing and entering journals; Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger * Analysis: Sales; Payroll; Monthly Variance report; KPIs; MORE KPI analysis; Demand Review Meeting report submission; Cost of poor quality reports; FP&A product line reporting; Validate Continuous Improvement savings; Local and global Corporate and ad hoc reporting and analysis; Present information to functional areas to help explain results * Forecast: 18 month P&L forecast; P&L bridging; EBIT tracker; Hyperion load + balance; Annual Operating Plan * Capital expenditure: Attend departmental reviews of requirements; Review operations CER submissions; Load CER submissions; Forecast; Hyperion load + balance; Monitor live CERs * Compliance: Corporate policies and procedures; Corporate requirements; Internal controls; Local statutory requirements; US GAAP requirements; Local tax accounting and reporting requirements; Address internal and external audit requirements; ONS reports This role will support the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Branch accounting: Month end closing process; Preparation of management accounts; Review and authorise bank payments; Stock take administration; Coordinating financial close process; Hyperion load + balance of actual result; Reconcile intercompany differences; Company credit cards; Employee expenses; Bank account monitoring; Holiday cover within our Finance team
  • Analysis: Corporate quarterly reports
  • Compliance: Prepare statutory audit pack in advance of audit; Liaise with internal audit; Liaise with external audit; Corporate

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA)
  • Previous experience working in a Manufacturing company is essential
  • Highly organsied with the ability to work to tight timescales
  • Strong Management Accounting skills

What’s On Offer

  • Salary of £38,000 – £44,000
