NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a Learning and Development Business partner to join our HR team.This in addition to the L&D BP we recruited in January this year as we have a lot to do on the learning and development agenda.

What does a do at NHS Supply Chain?

In this role you will lead a variety of learning initiatives to support delivery of our strategic objectives. You’ will work closely with stakeholders to identify capability needs across the organisation at all levels, including new starters and implementing learning activities to close the gaps.

This role will undertake the full learning lifecycle including framing and scoping requirements, creating, and implementing innovative solutions and measuring impact.In the short term this role will focus on driving and embedding our graduate and apprenticeship strategy.

  • Work across NHS Supply Chain operation to assess individual and organisational learning and capability needs to enable delivery of strategic priorities.
  • Undertake effective framing and scoping activities to highlight and identify of the right learning solutions.
  • Create and implement innovative learning initiatives that increase capability and colleague engagement.
  • Identify required outcomes for all learning interventions and collate, measure, and analyse data to demonstrate success and return on investment.
  • Keep up to date and research new L&D technologies and trends, showcasing any that will bring cost savings or more effective ways of working to NHS Supply Chain.
  • Support and enhance the onboarding experience for all colleagues into the organisation. Identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the delivery and evaluation of all elements.
  • Drive and embed our apprenticeship strategy, identifying value adding activities through effective use of data to support future activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider HR team to deliver a world class service to all colleagues.

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

  • Demonstrable experience in all aspects of the learning lifecycle.
  • Ability to frame and scope learning needs, creating detailed training proposal to demonstrate learning requirements and outcomes.
  • Experience in design, delivery, and implementation of learning, across all mediums.
  • Skilled in facilitation and delivery across all colleague levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all colleague levels.
  • Detailed working knowledge of graduate programmes and apprenticeships.
  • Proven experience in analysis, evaluation, and presentation of data to inform colleagues.
  • A proven record in developing blended learning solutions that deliver results.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Internal communications experience in complex organisations and geographically dispersed staff.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders, from start to finish.
  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders at all levels and writing for a variety of audiences.
  • Knowledge of learning theory and its applied practice.
  • Recognised learning qualification such as CIPD, CTP, TAP accreditation.
  • Psychometrics level A&B.

How You’ll Work

Currently, all SCCL offices are closed, so for now our colleagues are all working from home. From Spring 2022 we will move to hybrid working; a blend of home and office working 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days at home.
