About the role
This is a chance to join our Insights Team as a Data Analyst with the opportunity to have a real impact as we undertake an insights transformation programme which will create a step change in Nominet’s ability to gain insights from data. You will put data and insights in the hands of the business driving decision making and having a real impact on how things are done.

The Insights team sits at the heart of the business, meaning you will be working with a real variety of data that could about registered domains, customers, finance or technical performance to name a few. You will work with data engineers and data scientists and use your analytical skills to deliver insights that can be leveraged by the business. The essential bits

You will create and deliver BI dashboards which put data in the hands of the business bringing data driven insights to daily decision making; visualising data in imaginative ways to tell stories about what's going on in our business and what action we should take.
Modernise, automate and streamline processes to ensure reports and dashboards can be delivered in a seamless way.
Within the Insights team you will liaise with Data Engineers to ensure the insight function has data which is accurate and fit for purpose. You will also utilise machine learning algorithms delivered by Data Scientists and develop your own statistical models to utilise advanced analytics to answer business problems. About you and your experience
With experience as a Data Analyst, you will have a true passion for creating insight and value add analytics. You’ll have an inquisitive and analytical mind, with the capability to think laterally and look beyond the obvious. Problem solving will be second nature to you, and you’ll enjoy using your technical skills along with your flair to visualise information in a way that brings data to life.
In addition, we are looking for someone who has experience creating business dashboards with a tool like Tableau, Qliksense or Power BI. You will have used SQL to query and manipulate data for analysis, as well as a language like Python, R or SAS to manipulate and analyse data. The ability to present complex information in a clear way to business stakeholders and tell a story using data is absolutely vital in this role.
