About The Role As a Marketing Assistant, you will support our Brand Marketing team with administrative and finance duties. You will also work alongside an external agency to manage and implement our consumer PR plan. This is an amazing role for someone who is in the early stages of their marketing career and wants to continue to grow & develop by being hands on and getting involved. Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to;

  • Creating and approving press releases – supplying content/facts for the agency to craft press releases, proof reading, managing feedback & approvals with internal stakeholders
  • Implementing PR tactics
  • Arranging the delivery of product samples to journalists/TV agents
  • Attending photo shoots, and arrangement of products & pets to feature in those shoots
  • Purchase order admin using our SAP system
  • Preparing KPI reports
  • Capturing minutes and circulating key output and actions
  • Supporting with ad hoc requests from the Brand Marketing team
  • Working to a tight CPA to ensure all milestones are delivered on time
  • Compiling creative and media research
  • Working cross functionally with the wider marketing and services team to support launch plans across all channels
  • Supporting on local & national PR tactic at a local level and approving content
About You We’re looking for a passionate self-starter with lots of energy and ideas. As a strong team player, you’ll have brilliant people skills and be able to think on your feet with confidence. You’ll have great attention to detail and be able to prioritise activity and work to tight deadlines. An enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn will be key to success. Key knowledge/experience/expertise includes;
  • Experience in an admin/office environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and a flair for design/creating slides
Desirable knowledge/experience/expertise includes;
  • Experience of managing external agencies, especially PR
  • Experience of managing photo shoots
  • Experience of managing external events/conferences
  • An understanding of marketing design and print processes
  • Experience of SAP finance system
  • Copy writing/proofing skills
  • Social media management/advertising
