Role Overview

The role will be working within the fast-paced and exciting Posterscope OOH Planning & Buying team that works on an agency group. The role will report into the Planning & Buying (P&B) Manager and/or Director.

The role will work across a selection of clients, assisting the manager and/or Director as required.

The role will work with the P&B Manager to develop the skills to confidently deliver high quality OOH solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assisting with all Planning & Buying output on allocated accounts
  • Accountable for developing OOH market knowledge and dynamics. Ability to articulate to agencies/clients the role of OOH, understanding strengths/weaknesses and positioning in the media mix.
  • Accountable for building thorough knowledge of internal tools such as ECOS Project, Planner, Maps and OCS and incorporating their use on a daily basis through the campaign lifecycle. Timely uploading of all required campaign data
  • Responsible for attending briefing meetings, taking and interrogating the OOH brief. Developing capability to create OOH response-to-briefs, including plan, rationale, audience delivery.
  • Responsible for gaining a broad understanding the Posterscope commercial agenda set by the CMO and ensuring these are adhered to in the planning & buying process.
  • Responsible for understanding billings targets, organic growth, barter and diversified revenue opportunities.
  • Understand audit and pricing guarantee process and ensure all pre/post campaign data is correct in Ecos
  • Responsible for managing positive pro-active relationships with key agency/client contacts on allocated accounts. Regular hot-desking in agencies where relevant.
  • Responsible for working with the P&B Director to build effective working relationships and practices with key media owners
  • Responsible for checking the quality of output of the Planning & Buying Assistants.

Person Specification

  • 1+ years’ experience in OOH or in a similar advertising / media role
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft programmes (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel etc.).
  • Good communication skills
  • Good knowledge of the OOH sector, tools, systems and how to use them throughout campaigns.
  • Demonstrates initiative and tenacity when handling day to day tasks and seeks improvements
  • Good relationship management to ensure good day-to-day working relationships with agency contacts, media owner partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek the opportunity to present plans and solutions to agency/client contacts both face to face or on conference call
  • Strong team player but with the capability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions
  • Good project management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Can-do attitude and ambition to succeed in career
