About the job
Use your skills as a seasoned Business Analyst, to ensure this well-known cancer charity improves its application process. As things stand, they have seen a drop in engagement in the last 3 years. One critical area of improvement is the application process, which is currently very long and far too detailed, which could discourage people from registering. This Business Analyst role will spearhead the initial discovery phase of this project, by assessing the ‘as is’ and looking at mapping the ‘to be’ solution for the process. The outcome of this discovery phase will be drafting a statement of work, which will be submitted for funding at the end of the 3 months.
This project is mission-critical for the organisation and will have a ripple effect across the charity. This will ensure engagement with the business improves, which will intern mean there are more donors, which will save more lives. People work for this organisation because of its mission to help cure cancer.
This role is both interesting and challenging because the scope of this change is not yet known. You will need to, first of all, identify the stakeholder groups involved in this change and then drive engagement with the project, promoting how critical this project is for the organisation. As with most Business Analyst roles, workshops will play an integral part in this project. These will need to be delivered in a way that engages all the stakeholders and encourages collaboration. This will be challenging, due to the workload of some of the teams, who will be focused on their day-to-day activities, so a great deal of tenacity will be required.
