Job Description

Product Owner for Product Catalogue

You’ll be powering the definition and grow our standardized commercial Product Catalogue and assure sustained success in managing approved product lists as well as continuing to scale our solutions by integrating and structuring robust commercial product information, we are searching for an experienced Product Owner to join our product team.

The Catalogue Product Owner’s main responsibility is to create and manage a central database of commercial product-related data. To ensure complete and correct information in the Product Catalogue, you will be in charge of overseeing the upkeep and quality of the existing commercial product information as well as the curation of new product information. He or she must be knowledgeable about newly developed products and solutions and serve as the main force behind data collecting and system entry.

Working closely with the Product Leader, the Catalogue Product Owner will make sure we have effective processes for the gathering, managing, and governance of commercial product information as well as how to communicate it across channels. While ensuring data integrity and governance rules are in place to ensure a quality product, this person will have the chance to define the product hierarchies that drive our customer integrations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a standardized, scalable catalogue and process for categorizing commercial product catalogue items.
• Identify and scope business needs and translate those needs into product requirements regarding Product catalogue management.
• Perform product information activities such as data analysis, editing, applying updates resulting from normalization, technical content support and other teams related to content issues, and ensuring the consistency of product information.
• Clean, maintain and normalize product information based on priorities and using defined processes.
• Participate in PM team projects in the capacity relevant to product catalogue management.
• Work with peers and multiple partners supporting overall projects.
• Support new product introduction and maintenance processes for product information.
• Review product information for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Manage the backlog of features and integrations, prioritizing appropriately.
• Be responsible for your product area and own the entire product catalogue lifecycle from conception to implementation.
• Produce high quality documentation based on implemented methodology standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills, motivation and that little personal twist make you succeed

• Payments industry knowledge will be considered as advantage
• Understanding and/or hands-on experience in product management, development and web technologies
• Detail oriented with critical thinking skills – ability to break down initiative-level requirements into feature and story attribute level details
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build strong working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Fluency in English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with non-technical and technical people inside and outside the organization
