The QA/QC Software Developer will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems

The ideal candidate has good grasp of testing devices that contain both software and hardware components and thrives in a creative and challenging environment. You will work with our software team in developing safe and efficient and secure solutions for our customers in the aluminum industry.

To excel in this role, we expect you to have a solid base in automated testing of robotics solutions and quality focus and be willing to learn simply everything about LIBS on liquid metals and the challenges there. Focus on customer experience and safety is essential.

Objectives of this Role

Develop and maintain our unique LIBS device that does real-time chemical analysis of liquid metals

Develop and maintain a Cloud-based research tool for the development and management of calibrations for devices.

Working with software developers and Scientists to continue the development of the company’s unique technology for analyzing the chemical composition of liquid metals.

Main Responsibilities

Test current products and identifying deficiencies.

Suggest solutions to identified product problems.

Investigate product quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.

Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy.

Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution.

Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.

Oversee continuous improvement projects

Collect quality data.

Identify key KPIs for product quality.

Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management.




Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred.

Experience as an Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.

Knowledge of experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies.

Proficient with git, git workflows, and test automation.

Experience with software engineering, customer experience, and civil engineering.

Experience developing secure Embedded software for industry use.
