The Transpennine Route Upgrade Project (TRU) is a circa £2b multi-disciplinary project upgrading the existing railway route between Manchester and Leeds through the Pennines. It is the largest rail and infrastructure project in the north of England over the next 5 years.

BAM work as part of the Transpire Alliance structure with Amey, Arup and Network Rail, meaning we all have Alliance facing roles as well as undertaking our BAM responsibilities. This role is based in Leeds/Huddersfield.

Your mission

  • Maintain effective communications with all disciplines within the Alliance, the BAM business and supply chain.
  • Preparation, issue and evaluation of material and plant enquiries to support project requirements
  • Manage requisition process to ensure orders can be raised with all relevant documentation
  • Ensure orders are distributed and approved by relevant authorised personnel
  • Work with and provide support to accounts team with any order related queries
  • Understand, adhere to, and promote Company ProceduresYour mission

Who are we looking for?


  • Previous experience working on a construction project in similar role
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of operating IT systems
  • Collaborative attitude
  • Awareness of construction commercial law


  • Experience of procurement specific operating systems, e.g. SAP, COINS
  • Experience of NEC / ICC form of Contract
