We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails & React Developer to work remotely from anywhere in Latin America.
You will be working in an agile environment with an awesome team on the implementation of world-class software products.
Requirements:
- Be a great programmer
- Full-time availability (40 hours per week, regular business hours)
- Fluent in English
- 5+ years of experience developing in complex applications
- 2+ years of experience developing in Ruby on Rails
- 2+ years of experience developing in React
- Experience working with various external APIs and webhooks
- Experience with database design of relational databases such as Postgres or Mysql
- Experience with backend design patterns and strategies such as MVC, idempotency, adapters, serialization, asynchronous workloads, state machines
- Experience with test-driven development and tools
- Experience building scalable systems with cloud infrastructures
- Experience with Git branching and release management practices
- Solid understanding of frontend development including CSS, JS, HTML5, ERB
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with above outlined current tech stack or comparable technologies
- Experience with common Ruby on Rails libraries such as MiniTest, FactoryBot, AASM, Sideki
