Senior Software Engineer – Buenos Aires, Argentina / Santa Ana, Costa Rica

Better requires process discipline and simplification
We are looking for your best talent to be hired in Costa Rica or Argentina. In this role, you will own, end to end, the software development process to include defining, designing, and implementing complex, multi-tier distributed software systems. You will be responsible for the constant analysis of sources, design, and implementation of the data life cycle. You will use your technical and domain expertise to solve product challenges and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers. You’ll demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. You’ll be able to use agile methodology daily and follow Definition of Done (DoD) process for better quality by maintaining 80% unit test coverage and 70% integration test coverage. You’ll estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts. You’ll share engineering support and release. You will lead a team of developers.
For this role, you will have a bachelor’s in computer science or a related field with 6+ years of professional experience or MS with 4+ years of experience, along with excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D. You will need more than 5 years of experience as a developer. Your experience as a reference or technical team leader will be important. You’ll demonstrate capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. You’ll be a team player with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. You’ll have the ability to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment and adapt to changing business priorities and to thrive under pressure. You need more than 4 years of experience with programming languages such as HTTP, XML, JSON, Node JS, JavaScript, hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, XML, Web technologies, Web Services. Besides, you’ll need experience in agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery). Oracle SOA suite technologies knowledge is desirable.
