The Infection disease research laboratory is searching for a talented biologist.

Job Description
Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a very common intrauterine infection which can cause severe mental and hearing impairments of the infant.
In our lab we are studying parameters that determine the intrauterine transmission of the CMV during pregnancy. We created a Biobank of samples collected from pregnant women who were infected with primary CMV. We research virology processes and viral strains characterizations using classic virology methodology and molecular biology techniques. The lab conducts independent research as well as collaborations with university research labs.

Your Role
-Planning experiments and executing them
-Data analysis
-Conducting literature reviews and searches for new advances and techniques
-Managing the lab budgets and all technical aspects of the lab
-Processing and maintaining cell cultures and bio-bank samples

Skills and Qualifications
-M.Sc in biology
-Substantial hands-on lab experience
-Experienced in molecular biology techniques and mammalian cell culture.
-FACS and microscopy are an advantage.
-Ability to work independently.
