Where you fit in
Across Shell’s Mobility business with 44,000+ Retail sites in over 80 countries, the Mobility Network Team is responsible for defining and implementing strategies at the global & country level and for the delivery of services across the site’s lifecycle in the areas of Network Development, Sustainable Operations, Real Estate, Business Development & Ventures, and Engineering Solutions.
Mobility Network Engineering Solutions has a key role to play in delivering a competitive advantage to the Mobility business by driving world-class performance across the innovation, design, deployment, and operation of Engineering life cycles.

Electric mobility is one of the solutions that will help meet growing customer demand for transport in a lower-carbon world. Across the Mobility business, the Shell Recharge Network will grow to over 30,000 charge points in Europe, North America, and China by 2025.
What’s the role?
Some Specific Accountabilities Of The Role Include
Working within the Global Mobility Network Engineering organization, you will be a key player in realizing Shell Recharge’s growth ambition as being the industry leader in on-the-go EV charging globally.
- Develop and deploy optimized engineering solutions towards an affordable, safe, and fit for purpose EV charging infrastructure across Shell global markets.
- Subject Matter Expert for EV charging systems and infrastructure design.
- Develop world class site design and specifications, working with cross business E-Mobility teams to unlock value through best-in-class technical solutions and Customer Value propositions.
- Ensure solutions are cost-optimized and provide benchmarks and costings to support creation of project deployment proposals and for deal submissions.
- Develop and maintain Technical Design Standards & procedures and manage technical assurance across the value chain.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to create opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
- Coach wider Network delivery teams to upskill the organization across E-Mobility themes and deployment, ensuring best practice is embedded.
What We Need From You
- Technical education to first degree level in Mechanical/Electrical engineering and preferably professional qualification or chartership.
- Previous specific experience across E-Mobility and EV charging infrastructure.
- Champions design standards – Demonstrable competence in developing, implementing, and monitoring/assuring Global Standards
- Project management skills – Being able to lead and drive work across multiple workstreams to ensure the successful delivery of an opportunity
- Learner Mindset – passion for trouble shooting and taking data-based decisions eagerness to develop and sell new propositions, working collaboratively with customers and stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions.
- Innovative approach – passion to cultivate new technologies and concepts and then accelerate to scale.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – able to work cross discipline internally and managing external partners.
- Track record of delivery – A ‘can-do’ attitude, passion for achievement, as well as the energy transition, is important.
