Siemens Healthineers has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and dedicated IT Digital Support Apprentice to join our well-established Apprenticeship Programme at our Sudbury site in Suffolk.

This full-time digital support apprenticeship role will begin in September 2022 and offers an attractive salary and benefits package.

As an IT Digital Support Apprentice, you will complete a Level 3 – Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship at our Sudbury site. You will work with the Information Technology team to develop basic core skills and understanding of technical applications, software and digitalisation across all Siemens Healthineers Sudbury facilities. The apprenticeship takes between 15-18 months to complete and will involve a flexible blended combination of on the job learning and formal training provided by a local college.

To give you an idea of how this IT Digital Support Apprentice role will look and feel, here are some of the tasks you can expect to do:

  • Assess the landscape of the IT and digitalisation tools available in Siemens Healthineers

Set up and maintain new users according to site protocol, ensuring access to required applications and systems

  • Learn and develop digitalisation skills with a particular focus on Intelligent Automation, Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
  • Ensure staff are issued with secure passwords to access relevant systems and applications
  • Provide high quality, first-line technical support for all staff via phone, email, face to face or remotely as required

To apply, you will need to be educated to A-Level standard B grade and above or NVQ, BTEC or HND qualified or currently working towards. An IT or digitalisation background would also be advantageous. You will also require the ability to use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions according to specifications. In addition, you will need an understanding of PC operating systems and software, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
