Siemens Mobility Ltd help to solve the problems of increasing traffic by working with railway operators to improve the capacity, punctuality and security of their systems and to ensure that the carbon footprint produced by transportation is kept to a minimum. As part of our Mobility division, you will be part of a team helping to design solutions and systems which have a real impact on the real world.

As a Rail Technologies Apprentice in Siemens Rail Automation (a part of Siemens Mobility), you will be part of a Manufacturing team working in Production/Test Engineering, Quality Control and Continuous Improvement, Logistics, Sales & Sales/Production Planning supplying Rail equipment to the world’s Rail networks with the market leader in train control in the UK and globally.

We are recruiting school and college leavers to join our manufacturing apprenticeship scheme who want to make a difference and develop their skills in engineering

The challenge

Part of being an apprentice at Siemens means you get to work on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey. This will be a 3 year apprenticeship

Here is what you can make a difference in:

  • You will spend most of your first year at a college nominated by Siemens located near your regional office, developing the core knowledge and skills which are the foundations for many aspects of technology.
  • After the first year, you will formally join the manufacturing department based at Chippenham assisting with manufacturing production support activities whilst also continuing college on a day release basis.
  • The knowledge and skills gained whilst on the programme will enable you to support the Manufacturing function in a range of roles ensuring the timely delivery of globally renowned, high quality, Railway Signalling and Control equipment.

We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Minimum Educational Requirements:

    You will have achieved or be on track to achieve at 3 A Levels (or BTEC equivalent) at grade C or above.
