Head of Inclusion sits across Sky Studios and Content, owning and driving all D&I initiatives across Sky Originals including development, production and commissioning.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be responsible for Sky Studios and Content diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility initiatives. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Liaison with Sky Studios and Content leadership, editorial and production management teams to build D&I strategy and drive implementation
  • Identifying key areas to engage, develop and maintain diverse talent both on screen and off-screen
  • Supporting genre teams across various D&I initiatives, managing the central resources and budget across genres and aligning with the wider industry
  • Liaison with industry bodies to continuously drive D&I, talent development opportunities and change (including but not limited to – CDN, NFTS, Screenskills)
  • Representing Sky Studios and Content for D&I on key industry events
  • Supporting independent production partners on D&I initiatives
  • Thought leadership on how to think diversity and inclusion in the world of content to support business success linking to Sky’s customer base
  • Setting up and managing delivery of KPIs/annual diversity targets for on/off-screen representation
  • Establishing D&I reporting model and managing all relevant business updates, utilising Diamond reporting as a baseline
  • Driving the alignment between industry skills shortage and Sky Studios/Content talent development plans
  • Designing and implementing development and training plans for internal teams and trainees as required to develop knowledge and action on on/off-screen representation
  • Collating and managing relevant D&I information, training materials and reports
  • Continuous alignment with Sky D&I, HR and Recruitment for D&I policies and processes
  • Championing D&I had at the heart of all people work at Sky Studios and Content

What You’ll Bring

Experience in a senior D&I/talent role within the television industry with a proven track record of setting up and driving diversity initiatives:

  • Strong knowledge of diversity, inclusion, disability and accessibility requirements
  • Previous senior broadcaster or production experience
  • Great understanding of production teams, culture, talent requirements and processes
  • Industry contacts and experience on working with engaging, developing and training talent
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects
  • Great attention to detail, budgeting, organisational and presentation skills
