The Head of Supply Chain Programme Management is a highly visible role that will contribute materially to the broader business. The successful applicant will be pivotal in delivering strategic supply chain capabilities, and product & market launches, enabling Sky to meet both its in market and international growth ambitions.

What You’ll Do

This is a varied and challenging role, with day-to-day ownership of multiple programmes and projects. The role will have exposure to many functions within Sky and its 3rd party supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Ensure the overall Supply Chain programme of work is sequenced, prioritized, resourced and delivers to plan. This encompasses:
    • The development and deployment of best practice processes and systems to enable efficient and effective scaling of the business.
    • All product & supply chain related market launches, developing scalable mechanisms that align to the ambitious rollout programme.
    • Supply Chain workstreams that support the future development of the supply chain footprint infrastructure.
  • Set a clear direction for Sky’s Supply Chain subject matter experts to achieve the programme goals.
  • Ensure that the carbon footprint of each scenario is embedded into the decision-making process.
  • Report progress, including preparation and presentation of Executive Steering Group materials.
  • Represent Sky’s Supply Chain team in externally-facing project teams.
  • Trouble shoot issues and challenges in programme delivery – including analysis, escalation, option assessment and implementation.
  • Manage transition of activity to business-as-usual ownership.

What You’ll Bring

Candidates must bring energy, self-motivation and have a pro-active and flexible approach. You will enjoy working cross-functionally – engaging stakeholders from across the business internally and externally, demonstrating strong commercial acumen and an ability to innovate.

Required Knowledge And Experience

  • Demonstrated record of successfully leading programmes in a matrixed organization, building strong collaboration while managing stakeholders and teams.
  • Project Management Qualifications or demonstrated proficiency in PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Prince2).
  • Pragmatic problem solver who can lead a team through to resolution.
  • A natural self-starter who can work autonomously but also collaborate with teams across the business.
  • Commercial mindset, with experience in Supply Chain .
  • Comfortable navigating organisational / geographical complexity with experience partnering with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve product and project risks.
  • Emotionally Intelligent, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical or business discipline.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and formal presentation).
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Day to day management of multiple live delivery initiatives.

Hybrid (3:2 pattern, with 3 days in the Osterley Campus)
