Essential Skills/Experience/Attributes

  • Min 2 years’ experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar
  • Experience of working in a software development environment, particularly offshore development teams
  • Demonstrable understanding of Scrum and SAFE methodologies
  • Strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Previous healthcare domain experience with an understanding of healthcare IT solutions an operational practices - desirable
Product Owner Primary Responsibilities
  • Act as the go to expert within the development organisation from a planning and priority perspective
  • Manage the Agile team level backlog to ensure a well-defined and prioritised pipeline of work items is available for each spring planning session.
  • Working with Scrum Masters to drive sprint delivery and protect the Agile Team and the sprint plan from unnecessary changes and interruptions
  • Working with the SME’s to monitor and maintain the 3rd line support queues, escalating calls to 4th line where applicable
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to define the vision for the product(s) and module(s)
  • Influence colleagues in Product Management on areas of potential product improvement
  • Contribute to the multi-functional project team in planning the scope and schedule for releases and defining the associated Program Increment Objectives
  • Liaise with the offshore development teams to ensure that requirements are fully understood, accepted and delivered to expected standards
