About The Role

We are looking for a graduate to join us as an Applications & Hydraulics Engineer here at our Leeds office. The successful candidate will be joining a team of engineers and a key aspect of the role will involve selecting centrifugal pumps for hydraulic application specifications to meet our clients’ needs. Main tasks / responsibilities of the role:

  • Working in a team of engineers, with supervision from senior colleagues
  • Selecting centrifugal pumps for hydraulic application specifications in line with client tender requirements
  • Undertaking/completing assigned hydraulic design projects (design stage)
  • Ensuring optimization of initial design, accurately assessing costs and duty cycle of specified equipment
  • Liaising with and supporting other teams and Head Office with designs and solutions
  • Developing and maintaining relevant standard documentation as appropriate
  • Supporting the delivery of project profitability, to meet customer satisfaction goals and company strategy
  • Developing experience and skills to be able to deputise for senior members of the team as appropriate
  • Cooperating with company requirements in relation to Health & Safety & other initiatives / responsibilities


Background and engineering knowledge/skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering Graduate
  • CAD and general computing skills
  • Engineering design and drafting skills
  • Industrial experience in a similar area would be advantageous but not essential
