EMEA Field Support Team Leader – Fareham with international travel

You’ll be working at the heart of a key technical area with a high degree of visibility, interacting with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds; technical, non-technical; security; leaders and those operating the systems. You’ll build a strong network and experiences that could support your future career aspirations towards a perso centre management role or operational leadership role.
Our Opportunity
In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations of our Support and Deployment team activity for EMEA Banking Personalisation (‘Perso’) Centres, ensuring they are compliant with the software we use and provide team support to resolving any issues arising.
You will be based in the UK in Fareham and manage a team of 4 located in both the UK and Poland. You’ll also be an active team member providing technical support, deployment and problem solving and act as escalation point.
With your team, you will ensure that Thales Perso centres remain up-to-date in the personalisation software/infra they use by communicating and leading site deployments and upgrades. Your team will also solve Level 2 issues related to personalisation software and processes, raised by the plants; coordinating with other local, regional and corporate teams and ensuring thorough knowledge transfers to local team members in charge of direct Level 1 support.
You’ll travel internationally, depending on the project, at approximately once per month or 10 times per year maximum. Perso centres are located in EMEA region which incorporates South Africa, Russia and Poland.
About You
- A strong technical background within industrial production and/or software environment
- Good knowledge in Banking/Security production tools and processes would be beneficial
- Knowledge in IT and Oracle database administration is useful though not essential
- Resilient and able to respond effectively under pressure
- People leadership skills with good cultural awareness – or demonstrable strong potential. Able to manage both local and remote teams based in both the UK and Poland
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach
- Highly organised, with strong analytical and project management skills, able to solve complex technical problems and demonstrate technical curiosity
