“We have an opportunity to join our vehicle inspection team based on site near Hinckley Leicestershire. Working with our business partners, you will be inspecting used vehicles to the AA’s high standards and reporting back to our partners with any repair work that may be required before issuing a detailed inspection pass report. As a trusted team member of the AA, you’ll have all the latest tools & technology at your disposal, including a company iPhone and a bespoke application designed to help you catalogue inspection results. Our inspection team forms part of a larger vehicle preparation process so it’s vital that we work together to keep that process flowing.

What will I be doing?

You’ll play a key role in our team, carrying out inspections, repairs & services on customer vehicles, and carefully reporting your work via our very own app. You’ll follow all established conditions and operating instructions when completing repair work, helping us maintain a safe & effective working environment for our team.

Inspect the car, van or motorhome that the customer is looking to buy
Check that it’s roadworthy and safe, and share your report with customer
Let the customer know about any hidden problems you find, before they buy the vehicle

What will I be doing?

You’ll take the time needed to explain your findings clearly to the customer, checking that they’ve understood the results. In doing so, you’ll help the customer make the right decision for them, sharing advice based on your knowledge and experience where possible, or directing them to the best department contact, for issues that fall outside of your areas of expertise.

What do I need?

You’ve already got experience working with a range of cars and vehicles and enjoy keeping up to date with technological & safety developments. With an eye for the details, you’ll report your findings accurately first time via our app.

As an ambassador for our brand, we’ll look to you to be professional and respectful to each customer you meet. You’ll deliver a high standard of serviceability and cleanliness on any vehicles, tools or equipment used, and be aware of the safety of yourself, the customer and the team at all times.

We’re Looking For Someone Who’s

Keen to progress and willing to learn
A confident communicator, able to explain complex issues clearly, regardless of your audience
Customer focused, always looking to do right by our members
Reached either L2 City and Guilds, or L2 NVQ in Mechanics (or equivalent)
